My New Life?

 Well, I have now accomplished the feat of acquiring a new job. Now I am just waiting for my new apartment, I should be able to move in January, we are simply waiting for the tenants that are in there to move next door to the two bedroom unit. Then the cleaners need to hit it and I should be good to go! I am SO excited! I have been planning my furniture situation and I have been really tipping toward the Asian decor theme. I have liked the focus upon simple lines and soothing touches that an Asian theme offers...Lots of beauty and color and light, I am so tired of darkness in my living space. I have found some basic shelves at Ikea that will offer enough space and are completely open, no sides or back...

I am thinking that I should love this style very much...I really want my home to be a place I want to be. As far as other furniture I think I will just go with two matching chairs, I really like the colors of light grey or light tan,...end tables and maybe a nice area rug. I don't need a couch as I hardly ever have more than one person over at a time...I want to keep it open, beautiful, comfortable and simple.

Hey everyone, I have an idea... Let's get rid of all the police so we can all live in a state of peaceful utopia! Then we can get rid of all those old racist white men's names off all the buildings ever made, cause lets face it, ALL old white men are racist...just ask any black college kid, THEY know! Then we can all go to college for free! Cause we all know that college campuses don't need any money to run...teachers work for pixiedust right? Isn't electricity for lights made from the air? No that's rubbing two fat people together! Then we can force McDonalds to pay all their employees as much as the employees demand...cause business is not about making money, right? It's about making the teens and early twenty's crowd happy! Next, we can take 100% of big business' profits in taxes cause what else is that money for but to equally distribute amongst all the people! Who cares if those businesses just leave and take their jobs with them, who do you think has all the jobs you stupid shits want? Seen any wino's hiring lately?

1st; With the elimination of the police in our country, let me give you a little bit of a reality check... If the police go...then you will soon follow! You same jackasses who want to be rid of cops will become victims almost immediately! Tell me if you think you will have the same attitude when a group of guys kick your door in and ass rape your girlfriend and shoot her in the head then kill you? Who's there to stop them? YOU? HAHA!

2nd; Uhhh, not all white men were racist, some actually fought and died trying to get you those rights you so flagrantly use against them! Here's a thought...how about using that education you have been allowed to receive, because of some of those"racist white men", and make your family proud and BECOME something with it! Instead of protesting EVERYTHING and squandering your education!

3rd; Free college...seriously? I cannot believe anyone who has enough intelligence to get into college can be this stupid! But apparently they are! Hey moron guess what?... It takes electricity to have lights and heat in class... that takes money! Text books cost money! And guess what? Teachers have to get paid too! As well as custodians, maintenance workers, all those school office staff as well as hundreds of other little costs that occur every single day...College, as well as any other business, cannot STAY in business for free idiots!

4th; $15 an hour for entry level unskilled labor? Are you out of your tiny little mind? People who have worked at a skilled job, who have paid their dues only to end up with stupid kids like you deserve $15 an hour... NOT YOU FRY BOY!

Oh yeah, this year when you decide you are against Christianity and you hate all us who are believers in GOD and want to stop us from any public displays of Christian works or Christian values...
THEN STOP CELEBRATING OUR HOLIDAY! Christmas is CHRIST-MAS! It is a CHRISTIAN holiday and if you want to hate Christians than you should not be celebrating it at all, ever! It is NOT Santa Claus day, it is NOT about you getting to use our Saviour's birthday to get your atheist honey a shiny bauble! If you don't believe then don't believe, and DON"T CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS!! And DO NOT TRY TO TELL ME I CAN'T! Cause I, like many Christian Soldiers before me, will take exception to that! Aggressive exception if necessary.

Awww Come ON!!

I am impatiently awaiting my first paycheck from this job...so I can go to the apartments I want in and toss the cash down and see if they go for it. Mom is providing me an in, but this has to be done the right way and my finances have to be all set...before I'm comfortable. But I am going just a bit more nutz every day just waiting and worrying!!! I SO want this place. At this point they may have either, or both, a 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom apartment(s). One woman who lived there, for years,  moved out and everyone else there is violating the lease! Too many people for the apartments and NO pets...these folks have cats, dogs and even chickens? Plus children, which are not supposed to be there...they may wind up emptying the whole place and starting over! They are very specific, they are for single, low income people, or couples, without children, due to zoning issues not that they hate kids, no pets allowed at all! They are not clean and have junk strewn around their yard. I can't understand anyone who can't respect a few simple rules to have such a cool and nice place to live...and so cheap! I don't get it...But I hope I get the chance to get one of them soon! :D

Who saw that coming...

Well I found out today that my ex-co-worker did not quit..she was let go for failing the background check...what I can't figure is why it took them 4 weeks to get her background check done? Is that normal? I can get that baby done in an hour for $50...She had something involving homeland security!!!WTF??? Who saw that coming!? I sure wouldn't have.

I am finally a working man again...

Hey there, it has been a long while since I have had anything worthy of writing about but now... I am finally working full time and saving my funds to get into a new apartment. On Colorado Ave. and Havana, my Mom's church has rental properties that they use to generate some extra money for the church, and they apparently have a vacancy..or two! I am inquiring about them and should have some more info. in a few weeks. I am REALLY hoping I can grab one up, as they are CHEAP rent! I know I qualify, as even though I think I'm making a fair amount of money, I still fall into the "poverty" category.. That's okay with me cause these places are NICE!! They are like mini houses, they have little yards, 1 and 2 bedrooms, lots of space, lots of windows...Perfect and cheap! I am SO praying for God to allow this to happen...I SO need out of my Mom's living room!

Okay I'm impressed

 Okay so today I had two separate, but impressive, incidents that I got the pleasure of seeing that has, temporarily, restored my faith in men as being a positive influence upon kids! 
The first was on the D-Train on my way to work. A young Father got on with his infant girl and began talking to her..just like another person, no baby talk or any B.S. like that. Just talking to her about the train and all the things out the window, etc... He was a very interactive and caring Dad!
Prior to his stop I said to him that I really liked his style of parenting and it was very impressive that a man was as good with his infant as he was.
He said thanks and said "once in awhile a black man can be a good father"...
I told him I wouldn't give a darn what color a man was, that was amazing and his daughter was very lucky to have him as her Dad and that at that rate she was going to become a very intelligent and well adjusted child. He again thanked me and I thanked him and he and his daughter got off the train.
I was so impressed by that man...that's the kind of daddy I would like to be!
  The second incident happened on the mall where a street musician was playing a steel drum, at least I think it was, and a little girl walked up to him and asked him "how did you learn to play that?".
This guy stopped what he was doing and talked to her and showed her how to play and let her play it and told her she was good, even if she wasn't, and made the mall a little bit funner for her! Yes I know "funner" isn't officially a word...But your missing the point!. This guy is a street performer...he took time/money out of his pocket to spend a bit of time, about 10 minutes,  with this kid and made her feel good and taught her something. Yet another man in this world that gets it! Two in one day!
I told him that it was very nice of him to do that and thanked him and gave him $10, money well spent.
 So, to those two Men I tip my hat and you guys have restored my faith in mankind...for awhile anyway!

There it is!

 Okay, earlier this week I was out doing my rounds at work and I saw exactly why I appreciate children more than adults!
 We, as grown ups, see this thing and it may make us smile or maybe illicit no response at all...
 But picture this; these two boys were walking down the street, with their parents of coarse, one was maybe 8 and the other maybe 6. The older brother looks up and nudges his lil' bro' and says "look at the cow!!" and at that moments they just lost it! I mean that little dude had tears running down his cheeks he was laughing so hard! And his brother was out of control too...Now every single time I see this silly cow I bust up just thinking about those two. 

And there it is...the reason kids are way more fun than the rest of you!

Dealer or Not

 Recently I have toyed with the idea of selling a choice few friends, what we will from hence forth refer too as, "the greenery"...It IS legal now so any infraction I could make would be no more than a ticketable offense...right?
 Okay maybe if I were a 16th street mall scumbag and chose to sell to 13 and 14 year old kids then I would deserve to die, just as those assholes I have seen doing just that in front of McDonald's deserve to die too! Right?
 But really though, the thought has seriously crossed my mind lately, but too a specific few and them alone.
 What do you think? Yes or No?

Another pair of nasties

 Okay, here are a few things I need to get off my chest, so to speak...
 First and foremost, to all of you out there, you know who you are...Do they sell personal grooming items where you shop?
Today, yet another, person decided to fill the bus air with their delightful scent! Yes, that IS sarcasm! And even earlier, on the train...Okay that brings up another point I have to make...Do people not understand that their nose is made for breathing? I got the full effect of some "mouth breather" today on the D-train! NOW I finally get what that means! Body odor and funk breath! WHY do people not seem to give one single shit about themselves any more? I can understand "homeless" people not having the facilities to do these chores but that's NOT who I'm talking about here! Mutha' fucka's with JOBS and apartments and LIVES are the worst! I just don't get it.

You Stink!

Uhhh, okay can I ask people, in general, a question? Does it occur to any of you that maybe, just maybe, if you do not shower for, i dunno', maybe a week or two, that you quite possibly fucking stink to all those around you? Does it also occur to you that when you drag your stinking ass into a small, confined, space, like say a bus, that your foul stench is causing those around you to begin to melt? TAKE A FUCKING SHOWER! A guy got on the Broadway bus today and he smelled like...wait for it...D.N.A.! Dick, Nutz & Ass! He was not, from outward appearance, a homeless man, he was otherwise well dressed and seemed groomed, but stunk horribly! Can people not smell themselves? I sure as hell smell me when I stink! W.T.F.?

Pot Roast...

I am astounded today at my complete lack of self control.. I ate an entire 3 pound pot roast, mashed potatoes and lima beans!
The whole thing!
I only weigh 170 pounds soaking wet so...I have no idea where I put it..All I know is once I set into it, it was all over.
Now I think I may weigh 187 or something! :-)

Weird night!

 Okay, this has been the most weird night at work so far! I feel as though I have been violated! I really need to seer my eyes out with a red hot knife or something!
 At 7:45 pm on 17th and Blake street in Denver Colorado a man in a white toyota car...SHOWED ME HIS JUNK!!
 ME! a man! another man waved his morning wood at me!
 What the HELL is the matter with you people?!
 I feel as though I have been scarred for life!
 I had to return to the mall and look at every female 13 to 87 that walked past and look at the ground every time a dude went by for an hour just to try and rid myself of that image! Sick ass dude, I hope when he drove away a tractor trailer smashed into him and he's dead now! Asshole! Serves you right!
 The only thing I CAN be thankful for about this whole sick twisted encounter is two blocks up the street I past a Mother and her two Daughters and I thought, well better me than them I suppose! I hope he gets his tally-whacker caught in the door and they have to amputate! 

The first of many...

 Well, today I finally did over the bathroom here.
I gotta' say, even though I hate painting, I believe I did a pretty good job.
Now stupid me didn't think ahead and take "before" shots but anyone who knows me has been here and it looked pretty much 10 shades worse than the rest of the place prior to this!
Orange-ish white walls, grime, stains, etc...Now if I forget and flip on the lights at 2 am it gonna' be like a vampire suddenly confronted by the sun! It's freekin' bright in there!

I also hung a new curtain in the dummy/ugly as hell window...

the main walls I used a brilliant white and used eggshell for all the trim...

Now for the horror show I must walk through to get to my nice new bathroom...

Anyway, next comes my bedroom so I am kinda' impatiently waiting on that till after this next payday...also, hopefully someone with a truck can be found to lend me their driving skills to jet me to & from Lowes, for $20 or so... we'll see.

The RTD!

Okay, I have issues with the RTD bus system here in Denver, as anyone who rides these things do.
Why is it that I cannot wake up on Sunday morning and simply go to the hardware store, make my purchases and return home satisfied?...three letters sum it up...RTD!
I have to get out, take a bus which will take me to yet another bus, where I must wait, every single time, for at least an hour to get me within a 15 minute walk to a store!
So, a trip that SHOULD take an hour, or so, winds up taking over 3 hours!
Is this the best we can do? I heard Hickenlooper say "denver isn't a hick town anymore" a few years back...HA! Any city that allows it's public transportation system to close up shop at night may has well roll up the sidewalks and call us hillbilly central!
Why is it that I, in 1988, could stumble out of any place in Denver at 2am on a Wednesday and I could catch a bus and get home?
 But now if it's after 12am I'm screwed!
In 1988 Denver has about 500,000 people living here...now we have almost 3 million! Understand what I'm saying? Can we please fire these incompetents and reestablish a bus system consistent with the century we are living in?!
And here's another idea...any driver who decides he/she just doesn't feel like waiting at that stop until the proper time and just leaves the stop early....FIRE THEM!
We have to rely upon these morons to keep our jobs so if you make me lose mine that why shouldn't you have to join me for a little unemployment? I understand being late, but I do not stand for leaving early! If the printed, paper, schedule says 11:42am than by god you best not be gone already at 11:37am! Just saying!

Okay, forget what I said...

I am so damn happy right now! Today was pay day and I am very pleased! Keep in mind my monthly rent is only $400 and that includes all utilities, including internet...Also keep in mind I get two of these a month!...

I officially take back all the crap I have said in lue of this awesome pay! My rent, my food, my room getting it's make over...it can all move forward and I am extatic!
